US7035281
US7035281 is a patent which OptimumPath is using to sue Cisco-Linksys.
On 24 July 2009, OptimumPath sent notifications of Cisco's infringement to Belkin, Cisco, D-Link, Netgear, Buffalo, Compex, and SMC Networks.[1] Can you help? Why did they notify all those other companies about infringements by Cisco??
The patent was filed on 13 Sept 2000.[2] The "patent date" is 25 Apr 2006. Can you help? That's the grant date, right?
Can you help find prior art?
Is it a software patent?
The hardware elements all seem non-innovative. There aren't even any innovative combinations or uses of said hardware. It's just a chassis, a network card, a processor, and after that it's software that does networking with these items. It seems to be a software patent.
